| This is a wonderful opportunity for high school athlete's from all over Southern California to sharpen their skills and get in one more "tune-up" before their prospective League Finals and CIF Competition. This meet has been one of the Inland Empire's most famous Track & Field events over the past 30 years due to the caliber of athletes that have run here in the past as well as the future stars that seek out tough competition in a relaxed, casual atmosphere. With a new all-weather track, electronic timing and a snack bar that is second to none, once you have experienced our brand of hospitality you will become one of our "regulars" who come back every year. |
| 47th ANNUAL UPLAND/BOB LONEY INVITATIONAL SATURDAY May 02, 2009 GATES OPEN AT 7:30 AM, COACHES MEETING AT 8:30 AM RUNNING EVENTS START AT 9:00 AM FIELD EVENTS START AT 9:00 AM COME TOGETHER WITH US IN THE GREAT SPORTSMANSHIP THAT IS TRACK AND FIELD. JOIN US IN HONORING LEGENDARY TRACK AND FIELD COACH BOB LONEY. SHAKE HANDS, MAKE FRIENDS AND HAVE A GREAT DAY. Be a part of the “funnest” track meet available. We like to feature the freshman and sophomore athletes, along with the jv/varsity, as we promote the sport of track and field. Give your young athletes their own end of the season. Site: UPLAND HIGHLANDER STADIUM, BOB LONEY TRACK The “Loney Track” is located on the Upland High School campus at the corner of Foothill Blvd and San Antonio in the city of Upland. Directions: 10 Fwy to the Euclid Ave exit in Upland. Go north on Euclid to Foothill Blvd and turn left. Take Foothill 2 lights to San Antonio and turn left (south), the school and track will be on the left. Entry Fee: $10 per individual events, $20 relay team, $150 per gender unlimited entries or $250 per team, all unlimited entries! Make checks payable to Upland Invitational. Spikes: Spikes up to ¼” are allowed on the UHS Track. Snack bar: Snack bar and T-shirt sales available Notes: We run as many heats as needed to give out the max number of medals.
